A beautiful Street Piano arrived in Copley Square for the September 27 – October 14, 2013 celebration of the past 74 years of Celebrity Series of Boston. Help us celebrate the 75th season by finding the piano in Copley Square and listen, sing, play and enjoy! The Celebrity Series of Boston is presenting ‘Play Me, I’m Yours’ the Street Pianos Boston festival. Located in public spaces in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville and Brookline, 75 pianos will be available for anyone to play and enjoy. A wide range of local artists and community- based organizations will decorate the pianos, and the Celebrity Series will schedule several solo or ensemble performances. Touring internationally since 2008, Play Me, I’m Yours! is an artwork by artist Luke Jerram that places pianos in public spaces for the enjoyment of the community. By creating a place of exchange Play Me, I’m Yours! invites the public to engage with, activate and take ownership of their urban environment.
